Feburary 2024 TBR List

Introducing my TBR list on this blog! I’m excited to make this a monthly tradition. For February, I’m challenging myself to focus on the books already gracing my shelves. Admittedly, I may have indulged in a bit of a book-buying spree recently, resulting in an overflowing TBR pile. To exercise some much-needed self-discipline, my goal is to tackle each of these new additions before even considering adding more to the collection (though, let’s be honest, temptations takeover). Regardless, I’m eager to embark on this reading journey with all of you.

Must Reads

THE BOOK THEIF by Markus Zusak: This has been catching my attention lately. It’s received high praise from friends and across the internet. While I anticipate it might be emotionally challenging, I sense it will also be profoundly impactful.

LIE WITH ME by Philippe Besson: A recent discovery on TikTok, “Lie With Me” came highly recommended by a user whose review piqued my interest. Given its brevity, I figure it’s worth delving into. And it especially helps that this book is a short one. So I should be able to finish it in one or two nights.

IF HE HAD BEEN WITH ME by Laura Nowlin: This is another book that has been on my mind in recent months. I’ve heard from friends that this book makes you evaluate how a person approaches romantic relationships. And after I heard about the newly released sequel If Only I Had Told Her, I knew that this was something I needed to read.

BETTER THAN THE MOVIES by Lynn Painter: With Valentine’s Day approaching and a selection of heavier reads under my belt, I know will be craving for something lighter in the subject matter. So this seemed like a feasible choice especially since this is an adored book on Bookstagram. So this will be my perfect cozy breather.

Hoping to Read

A COURT OF MIST & FURY by Sarah J. Maas: After being utterly captivated by the first book in this series, expressing my love for it feels like an understatement. Needless to say, I’m eager to dive into the rest of the series. While I might only make some progress, I’m hopeful I’ll manage to finish it. If you’re interested, feel free to check out my review of A Court of Thorns and Roses.

GIRL IN PIECES by Kathleen Glasgow: While I stumbled upon this book during a recent online browsing session for something new to read, I’m uncertain if I’ll find the time to dive into it. Given my choices in deeply emotional reads this month, I might need to postpone it until next month. However, I remain optimistic and open to the possibility of squeezing it into my reading list.
